Lord Pearson of  Rannock is elected leader of UKIP

Lord Pearson of Rannoch

Malcolm, Lord Pearson has emerged victorious in the leadership contest.

This is wonderful news for our party, and is already helping in attracting new members.

Lord Pearson has promised reorganisation within the party, including
the establishment of a fundraising committee and the appointment of a chief executive.

He has also stated "If you are a sheep or a lemming you don’t join UKIP. The party is for original thinkers, lateral thinkers, people who care passionately about our culture and our history, and who do not like to see our system of representative parliamentary democracy being broken down.”

Nigel Farage said "It may be hard for the media and the political elite to understand but we mean what we say. We want a referendum on our future as an independent nation. That desire, the desire to return democracy to this land, supersedes tribal loyalty to this or any party."

Herman van Rompuy
The first EU president is appointed.

The New World Order - The First Signs of a World Government

Report by John Wallace

The Cranmer website (archbishop-cranmer.blogspot.com) reports that Lord Monckton has warned that the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (COP15) on December 7th to18th will use the excuse of “global warming” hype as an opportunity to lay the foundation for a one-world unelected ‘communist-style’ government with enormous powers.

During a speech that he gave in America in October 2009, he said ‘At Copenhagen, this December, just weeks away, a treaty will be signed — your president will sign it. Most of the third-world countries will sign it, because they think they’re going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regimes around the world, like the European Union, will rubber-stamp it. Virtually nobody won’t sign it.’

‘I have read that treaty and what it says is this: That a world government is going to be created.’

‘The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity.’

‘The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third-world countries in satisfaction of what is called, coyly, a “climate debt”, because we’ve been burning CO2 and they haven’t and we’ve been screwing up the climate. We haven’t been screwing up the climate, but that’s the line.’

‘And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement’, Lord Monckton added.

Lord Monckton told Fox News that the 181-page working document of the treaty, which contains the word 'government' in its Annex I, paragraph 38, transfers enormous powers, greater than any other governments' powers, to the unelected bureaucratic entity, which will be in charge of managing the most important aspect of Western societies without elections and polls. It does not mention the words ‘election’, ‘ballot’, ‘elected official’ or ‘vote’ anywhere in it.

Christopher, Lord Monckton, 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley is a business consultant, journalist, inventor and hereditary peer. Lord Monckton served in the Centre for Policy Studies during the Thatcher government in the 1980s, and he has publicly voiced his opposition to government views on “global warming/climate change”.

New Taxes discussed at Bilderberg Group Meeting in Belgium

Report by John Wallace

Although hitherto not reported by the mainstream media, that I can detect, the secretive Bilderberg Group met in an old priory outside Brussels named the Val Duchesse on Thursday 12th November 2009. Meeting just a matter of days before the “Climate Summit” in Copenhagen, this is probably not a coincidence.

Those who attended included such “luminaries” as former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger, who is a regular “guest”, the Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy, who is reported to be a leading contender for the EU Presidency post, and the Belgium industrialist and Bilderberg Group chairman Ettienne Davignon.

The Belgian Prime Minister is reported to have said in a speech that: "New resources will be necessary for the financing of the welfare state. Green tax instruments are a possibility, but they are ambiguous: This type of tax will eventually be extinguished. But the possibilities of financial levies at European level must be seriously examined and for the first time the large countries in the union are open to that."

According to Wikipedia, the Bilderbergers are an elite group of aristocrats, bankers, industrialists, and politicians, with great influence. Their “club” was formed at the De Bilderberg Hotel in Oosterbeek, near Arnheim in May 1954 in order to counter anti-Americanism in Western Europe. Of those many involved in the Bilderberg formation were Prince Bernard of the Netherlands, Denis Healey, Jozef Retinger, and the then head of Unilever Paul Rijkens.

Reportedly, they meet annually, with two consecutive meetings in Europe, followed by one in the USA or Canada. Their meetings are attended by over 100 invited guests, drawn from many countries. Their last meeting was in Greece in May this year, 2009, so this latest meeting in Belgium is an extra event on their calendar. One can only speculate why. The previous break in this tradition was in 2008, when their meeting was held in Virginia, USA in order to give them access to those associated with the US Presidential elections.

The membership has for the most part maintained their anonymity, and prefers to meet in secret behind a substantial security cordon, for which it has received much criticism from Groups demanding transparency. Their unofficial headquarters is the University of Leiden in the Netherlands.

David Bushell lays a UKIP wreath at Lancing memorial

I can’t help remembering …

On Remembrance Sunday UKIP Committee member for Lancing, David Bushell, paid his respects again to fallen comrades, laying a wreath on behalf of the party at the town’s war memorial.

The service was, as every year, a particularly nostalgic moment for a man whose memories of conflict go right back as far as 1943, when he joined the army and found himself facing some of the toughest fighting of the war.

“As a member of the 1st Battalion, the Dorsetshire Regiment, I was soon eligible for a free day trip to France.” recalls David ruefully.

“Main problem was that it was arranged for 6th June 1944 and our division had been selected as one of the main assault units!  Talk about striking gold – that was just what they had in mind for our lot.  We were among the first ashore on Gold Beach that morning.”

Over 65 years ago now, but that terrible feeling of life or death is only too familiar to many of our young men currently serving in Afghanistan.  “But at least we had proper equipment.” reflects David, “and a clear and achievable objective.”

Still a fighter even now in 2009, Bushell contested the county council elections for UKIP in Lancing earlier this year, showing a very clean pair of heels to both Liberal and Labour.  He added with a grin, “If it weren’t for our medieval electoral system over here, I would have won a county council seat.”  That’s the fighting spirit, David.  Roll on the big fight next summer!

CFL bulbs – Not a bright idea

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/greenerliving/6083119/European-Union-ban-on-lightbulbs-leads-to-a-dim-future.html

From 1st September 2009, it will be illegal for retailers to sell 100W and frosted incandescent light bulbs.  Although it is not widely publicised, this is the commencement of the total ban on the sale of incandescent bulbs scheduled for 2012 under the EU Eco-design for Energy-using Products Framework Directive.

Just why are we permitting this outrage??!

Now our truly vile EU poodle “government” is trying to encourage us to snoop on those retailers offering us incandescent light bulbs after the cut-off date.

I personally greatly dislike the low light CFL bulbs. And nobody mentions (studies show no warning on the packing either of) the inherent dangers of these mercury-containing devices, nor how to safely dispose of them - although I can think of a few.

Blair, Brown and their detestable gang are quite happy to permit the population to inhale toxic materials in order to ostensibly save power to compensate for the predicted electricity supply shortfall, due to their “global warming” eco-friendly dogma, and total failure to implement any power station replacement programme during the entire period of Nu Labour.

Open Europe reported has reported as follows:

84% of Conservative Party members want the Conservatives to hold a referendum if Lisbon Treaty is already ratified

A survey featured on Conservative Home shows that 84 percent of Conservative Party members want the Conservatives to give British people a referendum, even if the Lisbon Treaty is already ratified when a Conservative government is formed. Of the 84 percent, 60 percent said that the referendum should give the Government the mandate to "renegotiate Britain's wider relationship with the EU", while 24 percent said that the referendum should give the Government "authority to negotiate an opt-out from Lisbon's provisions."

10 percent said that, if the Treaty is in force, the Conservatives should "reluctantly accept" Lisbon and "look to ensure no further transfers of powers to Europe". Only 6 percent said that the Conservatives should "welcome that Lisbon cannot be undone and get on with being at the heart of Europe."

Further to Stuart Wheeler's comments below, it is widely stated that membership of the EU is currently costing the UK a collosal 120 billion pounds a year, when taking into account the costs of compliance with the hundreds of EU directives. That equates to £2000 from every man, woman and  child in this country - well those that we know about anyway!

Stuart Wheeler EU is a disaster worse than the recession
(Stuart Wheeler)

Sunday, 29th March 2009

Stuart Wheeler says his disenchantment with the Tory position on Europe led to his defection to UKIP and his decision to to make a massive donation.

Writing for The Times, Mr Wheeler says he was disappointed at the re-emergence of Europhile Ken Clarke on the Tory front bench and at the claims that David Cameron told a group of MPs that the EU "didn't matter".

Millionaire Wheeler defects to UKIP!!

Saturday, 28th March 2009

Spread-betting millionaire Stuart Wheeler, the Tory Party's biggest ever donor with a £5 million cheque in 2000, has gifted UKIP with £100,000 and said he will be voting for the party in the June elections

Mr Wheeler told the News of the World that Brussels was a bigger threat to Britain than the global economic crisis and was fed up with David Cameron's decision to ignore it.

He said: "The EU is doing so much damage to our economy and our way of life that I can no longer vote Conservative at the European elections."

He now says he has serious doubts that Mr Cameron will carry out his promise to hold a referendum on the EU Constitutional Treaty.

And he thinks British voters still believe Britain's future in Europe is a major issue.

He said: "The public know that the EU is incompetent, ineffective, hidebound and riven with fraud but the current political class in Westminster don't want to talk about it. I believe that millions of people want a say on the matter, and by voting UKIP they can be heard."

Mr Wheeler's decision means David Cameron may have to expel one of his biggest financial backers 15 months before a possible General Election.

Delighted UKIP Leader Nigel Farage said: "We are thrilled to accept Stuart as a UKIP donor.

"His support proves yet again that the issue of who governs Britain is far greater than any traditional tribal party loyalty and that many Brits plan to lend UKIP their vote on June 4."
